Product & Data
What is SuperQuant?+

SuperQuant puts institutional-grade market data in the hands of independent traders, quants, and small firms. It brings together the signals that actually move prices — retail-versus-institutional flow, options positioning, short interest, futures positioning, and macro forecasts and signals — into a single dashboard that runs live in OpenBB.

What data and datasets do I get?+

SuperQuant provides a curated set of continuously refreshed, institutional-grade datasets spanning: retail-versus-institutional flow across U.S. equities, options positioning across major universes, short interest dynamics, futures positioning from the largest traders, and a macro layer of forecasts and signals across global growth, inflation, and rates. The specific datasets, coverage, and history available to you depend on your plan.

Is the data really the same quality institutions use?+

Yes. SuperQuant runs on the same data infrastructure as Exponential Technology — the platform behind XTech, used by leading hedge funds and investment banks. Nothing is downsampled or simplified for individual users. Personal and Professional plans differ in coverage and history, not in fidelity: what you see is what an institutional client sees, priced for individuals and small teams.

Does SuperQuant provide investment advice?+

No. SuperQuant is a software and data product. It does not provide brokerage, investment advisory, financial planning, accounting, legal, or tax services, and nothing on the platform should be treated as a recommendation to buy or sell any security. You are responsible for your own investment decisions.

Plans & Pricing
What plans are available?+

SuperQuant is offered in two tiers — Personal and Professional — each available on a monthly or annual billing cycle, and across one or more product lines (for example, market analytics and macro analytics). The features, datasets, coverage, history, and any user, query, or export limits depend on the plan you select.

What's the difference between Personal and Professional?+

A Personal plan licenses the Service to one named individual for that person's own personal, non-commercial use — including individual research, education, building proprietary models, and trading your own account. A Professional plan adds internal commercial use within your organization, including trading your firm's proprietary capital and access for named users or seats associated with your account.

Is there a free trial, and how does billing work?+

There is no free trial unless a specific promotion says otherwise. Your subscription and payment obligation begin when your initial purchase is completed. Fees are stated in U.S. dollars (exclusive of taxes) and processed through our payment provider, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate, and we give at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect for your plan.

Can I cancel or get a refund?+

You can cancel anytime from your account settings or the customer portal; cancellation turns off automatic renewal, and you keep access through the end of your current paid period. Fees are non-refundable — including annual plans paid in advance — except where a refund is required by applicable law (such as certain statutory consumer rights).

Can I upgrade or downgrade later?+

Yes. Upgrades (for example, Personal to Professional, or monthly to annual) take effect immediately, with a pro-rated charge for the difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current paid billing period, and you keep your current plan's features until then.

Setup & Access
How do I access SuperQuant?+

SuperQuant is delivered through a single dashboard that runs live in OpenBB. Depending on your plan, access may include visual dashboards and charts, downloadable files such as CSV exports, and programmatic (API) access to the data. To get started, create an account, choose a plan, and complete checkout — access begins as soon as your purchase is confirmed.

Why do I need a paid OpenBB seat on the Professional plan?+

Because the data is delivered through OpenBB, a paid OpenBB seat is what lets you download the data from the OpenBB visual dashboard as .csv files. Without a paid seat you can still view the dashboards, but exporting the underlying data to CSV requires the paid OpenBB seat.

Can I share, export, or republish the data?+

Your license is for your own permitted use. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly post, publish, or quote the data or any charts, screenshots, or outputs derived from it, and you may not use it to reverse-engineer SuperQuant's methods or to train AI or machine-learning models. Exports such as CSVs are provided for your own analysis under the terms of your plan.

How does SuperQuant relate to XTech, and can I upgrade?+

SuperQuant is the entry point to Exponential Technology's data platform. For teams that need bespoke datasets, custom universes, or dedicated coverage, XTech is available as a direct upgrade. If you'd like to explore it, reach out and our team can help you find the right fit.
