Product & Data
What is SuperQuant?

SuperQuant puts institutional-grade market data in the hands of independent traders, quants, and small firms. It brings together the signals that actually move prices — retail-versus-institutional flow, options positioning, short interest, futures positioning, and macro forecasts and signals — into a single dashboard that runs live in OpenBB.

What data and data packages do I get?

SuperQuant provides a curated set of continuously refreshed, institutional-grade data packages spanning: retail-versus-institutional flow across U.S. equities, options positioning across major universes, short interest dynamics, futures positioning from the largest traders, and a macro layer of forecasts and signals across global growth, inflation, and rates. The specific access to dashboards, coverage, and history depends on your subscribed data packages.

Why do investor flow analytics by investor type matter?

Because the consolidated tape does not tell you who is behind a trade — and different investor types move prices in opposite ways. Institutional flow is persistent, mandate-driven, and tightly linked to long-horizon price formation: SuperQuant runs on the same engine (XTech Equity Flow) whose net institutional flow predicts the direction of SEC Form 13F filings with 65.5% directional accuracy, rising to over 71% on high-confidence names. Retail flow, by contrast, tends to be mean-reverting and behaviorally biased. Treating them as one undifferentiated "flow" obscures both signals; separating them turns noise into a usable input for momentum, reversion, positioning, and sector-rotation analysis.

How different are SuperQuant macro forecasts from other comparable data?

Materially different — in both methodology and accuracy. Consensus CPI forecasts are survey-based and extrapolative, and fewer than 20% of professional economists consistently beat them. SuperQuant inherits XTech's bottom-up, component-level macro forecasts, built from proprietary consumer survey data, high-frequency price and transaction series, and machine-learning models tied to official CPI weights. Over November 2017–September 2025, XTech headline CPI MoM forecasts achieved 81.9% directional accuracy versus 75.5% for consensus, with the gap widening on Core CPI (55.3% versus 20.2%). Forecasts are published roughly 20 days ahead of the BLS release and refreshed continuously — most recently calling Q1 2026's Strait-of-Hormuz energy shock within 6 basis points on headline March CPI.

Is the data really the same quality institutions use?

Yes. SuperQuant runs on the same data infrastructure as Exponential Technology — the platform behind XTech, used by leading hedge funds and investment banks. Nothing is downsampled or simplified for individual users: what you see is what an institutional client sees, priced for individuals and small teams.

Does SuperQuant provide investment advice?

No. SuperQuant is a software and data product. It does not provide brokerage, investment advisory, financial planning, accounting, legal, or tax services, and nothing on the platform should be treated as a recommendation to buy or sell any security. You are responsible for your own investment decisions.

Plans & Pricing
What plans are available?

SuperQuant is available under the Personal plan on a monthly or annual billing cycle across data packages of your choice such as market flow analytics and macro analytics. Your plan includes specific features, historical coverage, and defined query.

Is there a free trial, and how does billing work?

Free access may be offered periodically through specific promotions, which require you to enter valid credit card details to activate. Unless canceled prior to the end of the promotion, your paid subscription and payment obligation begin automatically when the promotional period ends or when your initial purchase is completed. Fees are stated in U.S. dollars (exclusive of taxes) and processed through our payment provider, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate, and we give at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect for your plan.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

You can cancel anytime from your account settings or the customer portal; cancellation turns off automatic renewal, and you keep access through the end of your current paid period. Fees are non-refundable — including annual plans paid in advance — except where a refund is required by applicable law (such as certain statutory consumer rights).

Setup & Access
How do I access SuperQuant?

SuperQuant is delivered through interactive dashboards and charts that run live in OpenBB. Access to specific visual tools and metrics depends on the data package(s) you select. To get started, create an account, choose your data package(s), and complete checkout. Upon successful payment, you will be redirected to the API Management section of SuperQuant where you can find your API key. Paste it into OpenBB to activate access.

Can I share, export, or republish the data?

Your license is for your own permitted use. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly post, publish, or quote the data or any charts, screenshots, or outputs derived from it, and you may not use it to reverse-engineer SuperQuant's methods or to train AI or machine-learning models.

How does SuperQuant relate to XTech, and can I upgrade?

SuperQuant is the entry point to Exponential Technology's data platform. For teams that need bespoke datasets, custom universes, or dedicated coverage, XTech is available as a direct upgrade. If you'd like to explore it, reach out and our team can help you find the right fit.
